Girithale, Polonnaruwa in North Central province of Sri Lanka.
On 28th August 2025, from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., the Early Childhood Education Development Authority (North Central Province, Sri Lanka), in collaboration with Rokidmo International Foundation, organized an Applied Psychological Counselling Awareness Program for ECD teachers at Girithale Gama Maha Vidyalaya, Girithale in Polonnaruwa District.
The program was conducted by Dr. Chaminda Weerasiriwardhana (MBBS), Senior Counsellor and Psychotherapist, who delivered practical strategies for emotional awareness, stress management, and teacher–parent relationship improvement.
The session was inaugurated by Hon. Dr. Jagath Wickramarathne, Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka & his Secretary, Mr. Chinthana Abeygunawardhana, Director of the Early Childhood Education Development Authority (NCP), Colonel Sarath Ariyarathna, newly appointed Director of ECEDA (NCP), and ECD officers.
Special Contribution: Rokidmo International Foundation donated 262 self-learning English textbooks (2 books per participant) to 131 ECD teachers.

Awareness of early childhood brain architecture and ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) scores
Techniques for stress management and emotional intelligence
Strategies to strengthen teacher-parent relationships
